FAQS

Why should we choose a civil wedding officiant?

If you want someone who is willing to perform exactly the kind of ceremony you are envisioning- whether a civil, spiritual or a non-religious ceremony, you should choose an officiant. We will be happy to officiate at your ceremony anywhere in NYC!

How much are we allowed to customize the ceremony? Can we write our own vows?

We can work together to customize as much of your wedding ceremony as you like. And of course, your vows may be your own very personal and loving words. Or you can just trust us to do and say the right things based on our conversations prior to the ceremony.

How long is a typical wedding ceremony?

Anywhere from 10-20 minutes in length.

Where are you located?

We focus on the Big Apple, New York City! And we have a sweet, professional office/chapel available on the Upper West Side on Riverside Drive. You can have your ceremony there or across the street in Riverside Park along the Hudson River!

Where do I get my marriage license?

If you are planning a wedding in New York City, you must first obtain your Marriage License at the City Clerk's Office at 141 Worth Street in Manhattan, you should know you must do it from Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 3:45pm. And if you apply for your license on Friday, you cannot get married until Monday, because there is a mandatory 24 hour waiting period and their offices are closed on the weekend.
